North East Wales is surprisingly easy to get to, handily placed for the A55 expressway to the west, the M62 travelling east, the M53 and M56 going north and the A5 and M54 heading south. Liverpool, Manchester and Birmingham are all less than 2 hours away, and even London and Glasgow aren’t too much of a push..
1. By Road
North East Wales is within easy reach of the national motorway network, and is well served by main roads including the A55 Expressway and the A5 London to Holyhead route. Many of our towns are served by National Express Coaches and we offer an extensive public transport network.
2. By Rail
North East Wales is served by a great rail network, with links from London, Holyhead, Chester and Manchester. You can catch a high speed train to the region and then explore the smaller lines and see the fantastic scenery at your leisure.

Both Manchester International Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport are less than an hour’s drive from North East Wales. Both airports offer good public transport links to towns within the region.
