Following last week’s blog about Offa’s Dyke 50th birthday we thought it would be good to highlight some of the shorter walking routes within North East Wales as current restrictions only allow walking from home right now.
Walking doesn’t all have to be about long distance challenges – short walks that will only take an hour or so are sometimes all we need to raise our hopes and help enhance our wellbeing. These walks often link communities and explore some of our most special places. The Denbighshire Rural Walks series presents the best of walking in our rural area in one booklet with a range of walks to choose from – from the short and very easy to the more strenuous. Our Community Miles series that link villages and other places of interest.
North East Wales is such a beautiful area and this is never more apparent than when exploring it on foot because it has a little bit of everything mountains and vales, woodlands, riversides, coast and it is steeped in history.
Please remember with current restrictions in place we are only allowed to exercise within walking distance of home and please respect the Countryside Code.
Here is our series of Community Walks please click on the titles to download each walk so you can print out and enjoy.
