What to do with the kids? A question that has been asked so many times! Well here are a few ideas for you about activities to do with the kids in our corner of North Wales.

Get the bikes out
Do you have keen mountain bikers? Well North East Wales is the place for you. From a coastal march track to an adventure mountain bike course through the forest at Llandegla, you can have a great day out whilst exercising!
The adventure biking course at One Planet Adventure is a must do for all mountain bikers. With exhilarating courses that caters for all ages and abilities you can be sure that everyone will have the time of their life as you tear through a Welsh Forest. Even if you haven’t got a mountain bike you can hire one at the centre.
For BMX riders you can test your skills at Marsh Tracks in the coastal town of Rhyl. With an award winning 1.3 km closed circuit road cycling track and a national standard BMX race track featuring a Bensink start gate (exactly the same as the 2012 Olympic BMX track) and challenging jumps and berms. In addition to these two tracks a third brand new mountain bike track has recently been opened allowing you to test your skills!
Making a splash
North Wales is the land of adventure and what better way to experience that adventure is by an adrenaline fuelled water activity.
Why not take a trip to Llangollen and experience the power of the River Dee that parts the town. With many activities that you can do in the area you will be spoiled for choice, and with plenty of providers in the area, you can be sure to book a place on an adrenaline filled activity on your next holiday to North Wales.
Activities such as Gorge Walking, White Water rafting and paddle-boarding along the canal you can be sure to find the perfect activity to do.
See our animals
Want to learn more about the ocean and it’s sealife? Why not visit the SeaQuarium at Rhyl. Featuring species from around the world on show in 9 different zones, plus our amazing outdoor Sea Lion Cove where you can meet our delightful harbour seals. This state-of-the-art exhibit gives you a fantastic underwater view of our seals in their 33,000 gallon pool.
To see more farmyard animals (in all their cuteness), you can visit Greenacres Animal Park in Deeside. With so much to see and do such as meeting the range of domesticated, zoological and farmyard animals, get up close and personal in the pets corner and enjoy the funfair rides, play barn and other attractions throughout the year.
Need for Speed
Do you have the next Lewis Hamilton? The best way to find out is to let them loose on the track.
The course at Glan y Gors Karting an outdoor track that is set within the stunning landscape of the Dee Valley mountains. Making it a very popular track for amateurs and professionals and is the best day out for a group of kids with a need for speed. With different types of races for you to book for your group, you can make it a competitive day out or a more friendly driving experience.
Why not try out their skills at one of the longest running indoor go-karting centres in Europe. At Apex Kart in Deeside you can get a thrill like no other as they bend around tight bends and tryout some daredevil overtaking. It is the perfect activity for a party groups of kids or for a family activity in North Wales.
Town with it all
Wrexham is an action packed town with plenty of activities for you to make a great day out.
Strike out at Ten Pin Bowling within the beautiful retail park of Eagles Meadow where you can also do a little bit of retail shopping as a reward for yourself for planning such a great day out. Or whilst you are in Eagles Meadow you can take in a film at the Odean cinema…..a great day out is closed off nicely with a box of popcorn and a good film.
If you have some scientific kids within the group then the best place for you to go is to Techniquest Glyndwr. Hailed as North Wales’ best science discovery centre it is the perfect place to blow the minds of your kids with over 65 hand’s on exhibits, games and puzzles.
