As many other businesses have been doing during lockdown Denbighshire Leisure Ltd (DLL) in partnership with Denbighshire County Council have used it as an opportunity to improve their current attractions. Over 400k has been invested into improving the customer experience at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre. A brand new P.A. system has been introduced to improve the sound quality in the auditorium, as well as a new user friendly ticketing system and complete refurb of the ground floor.
Theatre goers will have an exciting array of top names to look forward to when they visit the Pavilion Theatre next year, including Jimmy Carr, Rob Brydon, Toploader and Blood Brothers all confirmed, with over 98% of shows postponed following Covid-19 restrictions, now rescheduled for 2021. Over in the south of the county, Llangollen Pavilion is also in the process of receiving a similar refurbishment.
DLL have opened all their Leisure centres and pool apart from Corwen which is also receiving a face lift. The Craft Centre in Ruthin has opened and already hosted some successful social distanced launches, talks and workshops. Sc2 in Rhyl has been fully booked since reopening with indoor and outdoor water park open as well as the Ninja TAG.
They plan to open 1891 the restaurant soon, ready to offer some Christmas festivities.
As well as improving existing attractions DLL have also opened a brand new outdoor eatery with a beach hut rustic style, which we featured here a few weeks ago, since opening it has consistently positive feedback.
Next year also sees a return of the award winning Rhyl Air Show, the organisers who are also DLL promises that it will be better than ever as they recognise the importance of such a large event to the area so ensure that Denbighshire emerges with a continued strong and vibrant Tourism offer following the pandemic.
